What a difference a week makes! At this time last week, a strong storm had blasted through the area and the wind and rain were just beginning to diminish. Today, however, a much more tranquil weather pattern has returned to Northern California. Highs today reached the 70s Valley-wide under mostly sunny skies. Patchy morning fog dimmed the sun a bit this morning, but it burned off by late morning. We can expect the same cool temperatures and patchy fog overnight tonight and Wednesday morning.
With high pressure in place over the state, pleasant weather is expected through the weekend. Highs will range from the 70s on Wednesday to around 80 by Saturday, with overnight lows in the mid 40s to around 50. The weather will be nice not only for our immediate area, but also for the entire state of California. Fall color viewing should be great this weekend, from the Sierra foothills to the vineyards of wine country.
Gazing out into the crystal ball, the next chance of rain should be around Tuesday as a storm system approaches from the Gulf of Alaska. At this time, the system is not expected to bring the heavy amounts of rain that we saw last week. In the meantime, enjoy the warm and pleasant conditions!
