There have been a rash of sightings coming in the past couple of weeks from the Westmoreland county community of Murrysville, Pennsylvania.  The most recent event occurred last night (May 18)

Murrysville, PA - 5/18/2009

Multiple witnesses, returning home from shopping in nearby Monroeville,  reported seeing a strange amber/orange colored light in the sky near route 22, at approximately 9:25 p.m.  While observing the object, one witness described it as growing substantially brighter and bigger (described as four-times the original size).  The object was traveling close to a communications tower as it was growing in size.  The witnesses drove to another vantage point in the hopes of gaining a better view of the object, but the object had dimmed, then disappeared.  While approaching their home, they decided to turn onto some farmland which provided a much better view of the area.  At this time, they observed a small star-like object moving in a "wiggling s-pattern" toward the south.  An additional five objects were observed during the next 15-20 minutes.  Most were straight overhead.  The objects would flash light then move faster.  One witness telephoned the other witness telling them to get their camera and shoot pictures of the amber 'thing' in the southern sky.  At first the witness couldn't see the object because of the trees, the other witness flashed her headlights at it several times, causing the object to get brighter and appear to be moving toward them.  The object continued to make erratic 'jumps' up above the sky, flashed brighter, then down, while continuing to get bigger and brighter.  The object then dimmed to nothing when the witnesses returned to their respective homes.

Quakertown, PA - 5/18/2009 - Strange light moving fast and erratic -

At approximately 10:30 p.m. the witness observed what was thought to be a star.  The object was moving quickly and erratically through the sky.  The object appeared to be a single point of light, the same size and color of an average star, when viewed with the naked eye.  The object was solid whitish/yellow, did not blink, and did not appear to change color, shape, or size.  It moved diagonally from about 70 degrees above the horizon on the witness' right-hand side to about 40 degrees above the horizon on their left-hand side, crossing about 2-3 feet of sky at arms length.  It was headed in one direction, but moved randomly from side to side.  The witness lost sight of the object after about 10-15 seconds.

Warrington (Bucks County), PA - 5/16/2009 - Triangular-shaped object observed -

Witnesses were driving in their car northwest on County Line Road, when they observed three bright white lights, in a triangular pattern, moving low and to the left just above a nearby tree line.  They lost sight of the object for approximately 10-15 seconds due to the trees, but regained sight once again.  They again observed the three bright white lights in the same triangular pattern, only this time two or three red lights were now visible on the underside of the object.  The object was now clearly silhouetted against some low cloud cover revealing a very distinct black triangle.  The bright white lights were at each tip of the triangle, as the object was moving slowly to the southeast.
