Brockey Center at South Seattle Community College (6000 16th Ave. SW, Seattle WA). Rep. Jim McDermott, featured speaker

Washington Public Campaigns has been working tirelessly to help bring publicly financed (or voter owned) elections to Washington State since before the 2004 elections. Following on the successes of such programs in Arizona, Maine, and North Carolina (as well as a handful of US cities), last year they were successful in guiding legislation through Olympia that will allow for publicly financed campaigns at the local and regional level.

The awards to be presented on the 13th  will honor the Volunteer of the Year, Organization of the Year, and the Public Leadership Award. Tickets for the event; which will feature a choice of Vegetarian Ravioli or Chicken Oscar, are $50 per person (student rates are also available) and may be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets or by sending a check made out to WPCEF to: Washington Public Campaigns PO Box 70452, Seattle WA 98127.

Peace,
Chad Shue
