Havasu Area Transit (HAT) is offering a “Free Ride Day” for the London Bridge Days Parade. On Saturday, October 17, all HAT buses will operate free of charge. Citizens and visitors are encouraged to park their cars and take a free bus ride to view the parade and other events in the uptown area.
HAT serves 95 bus stops located around the Lake Havasu City and Desert Hills area. Buses will be operating hourly from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last outbound buses depart the transfer center at 5:30 p.m. Routes and schedules are available from any HAT driver, City Hall, the Interagency Council, the Lake Havasu City website at www.lhcaz.gov, or by calling HAT dispatch at 453-7600.
Also on October 17, Havasu Area Transit’s “Top Hat” Curb-to-Curb service is offered free to pre-qualified seniors and disabled persons on a first-come, first-served basis. A 24-hour advanced reservation is requested as seats are limited.
