I don’t do this very often, but Chop Suey is hosting an event on Saturday, February 14th called, “Dancing on the Valentine.” There are a ton of great bands playing including longtime Seattle favorites Peter Parker and new jacks, Police Teeth. It’s a Factory Records tribute, so the numerous bands will be singing the hits of the likes of Joy Division, Happy Mondays, New Order and about a billion other British bands.
The proceeds from the show go to benefit the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, so it will be a worthwhile Valentine’s Day dance jam.
The show is at Chop Suey (1325 E. Madison, Seattle, WA) on Valentine’s Day and is $10. It’s also 21+ in case you kids who lack fake IDs were curious.
