Put Down that [Insert Stereotype Here] and Vote

November 4, 7:49 AM

I haven’t posted anything because real life happens, as does my 9 to 5 job and the reality that I don’t have high speed internet in the comfort of my apartment.  But, I’m taking some time away from working to remind people to vote.  Yeah, yeah, it’s the same old rhetoric that you hear on the radio and on TV, but this is a pretty crucial event.

You see, my parents escaped political persecution (I’ve heard stories of finding their friends’ bodies in ditches because they were opposed to the dictatorship at the time) and I think that by not voting, I would be doing my parents and their journey over here to the United States a complete disservice.  I realize that most people, even other Asian-Americans, probably don’t have these types of tales to share with others, but that shouldn’t discount the importance of getting the hell off your couch and pulling a lever or two.

Don’t Forget to Vote Today

August 19, 2:01 PM
As I write this, there’s still six hours left to vote for the primaries in the State of Washington today. Most people would deem this as a waste of time, but keep in mind that just because someone is out campaigning, doesn’t necessarily... Read More

A Quick Guide for Your API Candidates

August 8, 3:41 PM
While there are some cities that claim diversity, it’s seldom ever visible in their civil servants. Seattle, being a port city and all, not only has the distinction of having plentiful Asian businesses, but also several prominent Asian-Americans... Read More
