Seattle Asian Community Examiner
Ryan Pangilinan got his start writing for the Seattle Times’ offshoot, Mirror. He graduated with a BA in Journalism from Seattle Pacific University where he parlayed his education to the fun and exciting world of retail and freelance writing. He contributes to several publications including Redefine Magazine and Northwest Asian Weekly. His debut short novel, “A War Torn Letter” is available online, and he’s working on his second novel.

Event: National Federation of Filipino-American Associations’ 8th National Empowerment Conference

The NaFFA is hosting a conference that starts today and ends on Sunday, at the Westin in Downtown Seattle.  The organization’s website has details.  This is a pretty important event and not only can you network with other Filipino-Americans, but, more importantly, it’s a way to get informed on the happenings of a national organization that is trying to make a difference in the United States.
