Durango Colorado is about as scenic a place as you will find within the entire state. This center for tourism has enough to do to keep an RVer busy for weeks. Everything from the ruins at Mesa Verde to a trip on the Durango – Silverton Railroad.

Just north of town is a great RV park where you can escape the congestion and sit in the cool shade of their wooded campground. Lightner Creek Campground is a great place to use as a base for your southwest Colorado trips. With Lightner creek running through the center of the campground and canyon walls, you will feel secluded when it is time to put your feet up and enjoy a cold one.

Here is a video of the campground and their website may be seen here.
