I've become quite the hermit crab these days, staying inside sulking in my moodiness and slowly becoming the temperamental artist I've always wanted to be. With that said, I got to leave my home for a second and head Northeast to the suburban hell hole that is Wrigleyville and stopped by my favorite Northside culture shop A.Okay Official.

It's kind of hard to miss, but just in case - the address is 3270 n. Clark St.

The giant munny that gazes outside just wishing he can take a shower and become the clean glossy white he once was. This particular munny has signatures from local and national artists that have come through to shop for limited edition shoes and tee shirts.

They have a gallery in the back space of the store that has many events and openings a couple times a month. They showcase up and coming artists and throw a lot of group shows. I've been seen many times at their openings with a 40oz or two in my hand.

The actual shop is also home to artists who display and sell art on consignment. Gotta love distorted acid trip faces.

Likes me some Joey Potts/Roy Gardiner collaboration.

Peabe in da house.

Mish mosh of artists!

Chucho. These faces are amazing in person.

Customized model trains from a previous show.

I spy nekked peoples.

This boutique has plenty of things to look at and try on. You can seriously spend hours in here just looking at the art work alone and the staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. They have collector toys, apparel, art, shoes, bags, and all kinds of accesories to get you hip (do kids still say the word hip?). So if you have a couple of minutes to kill after a Cubs game or are on your way to the Alley, stop by A. Okay and get official.
