This week, Denver Center Attractions' hit show Girls Only is reaching a pretty big milestone. They are celebrating their one year anniversary - something that not many shows in the state of Colorado are able to say.

One full year of "The Secret Comedy of Women." That means that in 328 performances there were 50,000 women that attended. Within those performances 5,576 diary entries were read, 1,312 mementos were pulled from their memory boxes, 4,920 craft corner projects were made, and 6,560 feminine products have been tossed at the audience.

So what is it about Girls Only that keeps women all over the state flocking back to the Garner Galleria Theatre? There is a certain kind of truth about being women, a universal humor that we all can identify with, and this show provides an outlet for both. And audiences filled with women of all ages are running to the theatre to be a part of this sharing experience.

Back in April of this year I posted an interview with Barbara Gehring and Linda Klein, the writers and stars of Girls Only. I also reviewed the show and fully enjoyed the performance. Now, as the women of this production turn another year older, they've expanded their reach and have even started a website for fans of the show - GirlsOnlyComedy.com - where, according to their press release, users can learn more about the cast and creative team of the show, find was to get more involved with the girls, share personal diary entries about rotating topics, get the behind-the-scenes scoop, and explore show related content like Craft Corner projects, drink recipes, and party games. I was just checking out their website and it is a very easy way to get lost for a couple of hours.

Girls Only continues to delight audiences and you still have a chance to see it. Get a group of women together and go see this show. You'll be glad you did.
