Modern Muse Theatre Company is one of those theatre companies that deserves your attention. They consistently try new things, stretch the limits, and take risks. This weekend the are closing their run of David Mamet's Speed the Plow - and you should definitely try and see this one.

Speed the Plow is David Mamet’s satirical dissection of the American movie business. Charlie Fox pitches a sure fire Hollywood hit to his long-time friend Bobby Gould, the newly appointed Head of Production at a major studio. Both see the work as their ticket to the Big Time. As they prepare their pitch to the studio boss, enter Bobby’s beautiful new secretary, Karen, who upends their perfect plan. A hilarious look at the sex, power, and backstabbing that drives Hollywood movie making and asks the question, “What’s more important: art or commercialism?”
