Who doesn’t enjoy a good scary movie? What about a good scary play? Halloween is the perfect time to enjoy a terror-filled play and let yourself get wrapped up in the mood of the season. The good news is that there are many different choices for you to enjoy some good Halloween style theatre! You can rock out with the Rocky Horror Show, get scared at Dracula, have a good laugh at Night of the Living Dead, or even learn a little bit about real haunted places in Denver. So take a look at these selections for your Halloween Theatre Night Out:

Family Friendly: Check out Vintage Theatre Company’s Halloween Dreams.
What its about: For the month of October, Gram Doobie rules her daughter's household. Her obsession with Halloween has been passed on to her grandchildren, especially the oldest. It is of special interest this particular Halloween in Chestnut Hollow because there are gruesome axe murders occurring. The killer is still on the loose. The family, the church, the school, the police and the news all look to find a true suspect and end this gruesome situation. But, this is a Halloween show, so....you'll have to take the trip with the characters to find out who it is.
When to see it: You have just 2 more chances to see it. Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM
How to get tickets: Head over to the Vintage Theatre Website

For the Zombie fanatics:
Try The Bug Theatre’s Night of the Living Dead.
What its about: The classic zombie tale returns to the Bug Theatre stage for a second year: Seven people trapped in a farmhouse surrounded by flesh-eating ghouls. One of them has the virus. One of them has a gun. One of them has lost her mind. Will any of them get out alive? It's George Romero's 1968 Zombie thriller as it was never meant to be seen: Live ... onstage.
When to see it: You have just 3 more chances to see it. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 PM
How to get tickets: Head over to the Bug Theatre’s home page or call 303-477-9984.

For the musical fans:
How about 73rd Avenue Theatre Company’s The Rocky Horror Show.
What its about: On the way to visit an old college professor, two clean-cut youngsters, Brad Majors and fiancée Janet Weiss, run into trouble and seek help at the freaky Frankenstein mansion. Little do they know that the mansion is inhabited by alien transsexuals from the planet Transylvania and Dr. Frank N. Furter is in the midst of one of his maniacal experiments. Dress as your favorite character, but no props allowed.
When to see it: Catch it Friday or Saturday night at 11 PM.
How to get tickets: Check out the 73rd Avenue Home Page

For the horror fans:
Check out The “E” Project’s Dracula.
What its about: I’m pretty sure you know what this one is about. Steven Dietz's adaptation revisits many of the often forgotten themes from the original Bram Stoker novel. Focuses on the sensuality, secrecy and religion that make "Dracula" a legend.
When to see it: Thursday, Friday, or Saturday at 7:30 PM
How to get tickets: At the “E” Project Website

For the “Real” ghost fans:
Definitely try Firehouse Theater’s Haunted.
What its about: A theatrical exploration of Colorado’s most notoriously haunted locations. This Halloween season Colorado is our haunted playground as we search for explanations for uncommon events. The cast tells the ghost stories from the perspective of real people who experienced the events and the historical people who were involved in them.
When to see it: Friday or Saturday at 7:30; Sunday at 6:30

And one more fun option: Check out The Theatre Company of Lafayette’s Twilight Zone Returns
What its about: A parody of the classic 1950s television show, with comic stage renditions of three popular episodes, campy take-offs on vintage commercials, and trivia contests, this is the 6th time that TCL has reprised this hugely popular format.
When to see it: Friday or Saturday at 7:30; Sunday at 2:00
