Best Theatre Venue in Denver
There are so many beautiful theatres in Denver and the surrounding areas. From Colorado Springs to Fort Collins and everywhere in between. Sure, we have the beautiful Denver Center, but there are numerous smaller venues as well. These choices for best Venue in Denver (lets just say Denver and surrounding areas, since I've got Lakewood and Golden on this list) are definitely some spots worth visiting!
- The Lakewood Cultural Center
Winning the vote, the Lakewood Cultural Center is a beautiful venue just off of Alameda and Wadsworth. Home to Performance Now Theatre Company and many others, they put up spectacular large shows that feel like a little piece of Broadway in the middle of Lakewood! - The John Hand Theatre
This theatre, named for the Colorado Free University Founder, is a beautiful 89 seat theatre in the middle of Lowry. It is home to Firehouse Theatre Company and Spotlight Theatre Company and there isn't a bad seat in the house! - Miners Alley Playhouse
This theatre is located in the middle of downtown Golden above Foss General Store. They have a full bar and display art from local artists in their lobby. Plus - the view is just beautiful! - The Denver Victorian Playhouse
The Denver Vic may be the oldest theatre in Denver, having been built in 1911. Legend tells us that it was the first theatre west of the Mississippi to stage all of Shakespeare's plays. The history of this building is why John Moore of The Denver Post has said, "Every Coloradoan deserves a night at The Vic."
