Winner: Best Theatre Company Season (2008)

The season that a theatre company selects makes a statement. It tells the theatre going audience who they are, what stories they want to tell, and what they are about. The winners of the best season have all had spectacular seasons as this was a really close vote!

  1. Spotlight Theatre Company
Spotlight opened its 2008 season with The Tender Trap, she show Frank Sinatra made famous. Following that was Laughter on the 23rd Floor, 12 Angry Men, and closing it will be Funny Money. For a season that included moving to a new venue, Spotlight certainly has made a name for itself in the Denver Theatre Community, and that is why you voted it your favorite Season!
  2. Vintage Theatre Company
They just closed A Streetcar Named Desire, earning Vintage rave reviews and packed houses. Up next is Murderers, followed by Little Foxes. This little theatre packs them in, and it is easy to see why.
  3. Arvada Center Theatre Company
This is the largest theatre to make the list, with their current smash hit Les Miserables now playing to standing-room-only crowds. This season also included Of Mice and Men, La Cage aux Folles, and many more. There is a reason this theatre is one of the biggest in the state.
  4. Performance Now Theatre Company
The little theatre company with the big shows. Performance Now's 2008 season inlcuded Hello Dolly, Beauty and The Beast, Thoroughly Modern Milley, and Jekyll & Hyde. Huge shows, huge sets, huge costumes, and huge talent make this theatre company the one to watch in Lakewood!
