As of today, there are 43 shopping days until Christmas and 40 shopping days until Hanukkah. A bit suprising considering the unseasonably warm temperatures we've had lately. However, the holidays are fast approaching, and it is time to start thinking about what to get the theatre person in your life. So, every week for the next 7 weeks I'll be posting three suggestions of what to get that actor or director or stage manager in your life. I'd also love to hear your suggestions! If you have any ideas, please leave a comment. I know I'm interested in learning what creative ideas you all come up with.

For the Actor

For the first gift idea I had to go with this fun T Shirt. There are tons of funny slogan t shirts out there, and actors are always in need of comfortable clothing to wear to rehearsal. This T shirt with the "Don't Worry I'm Totally off Book" saying is a fun gift for any actor.

For The Musical Lover

The great people over at Playbill.com have an amazing online store for theatre lovers. From DVDs to CDs to T Shirt and Plush Toys, they have something from just about any show.  I really like this book; "Broadway, The American Musical." This is the companion book to the PBS documentary (Which they also sell on DVD.) A great addition to any Theatre Lover's coffee table.

 For the Shakespeare Fan

And for something a little wacky. "Alas Poor Yorick, I knew him well!" Great for the Shakespeare Lover in your life. No more will you have to recite the famous Hamlet monologue in just your bathrobe and fuzzy slippers. Now you can recite it with class and style and your very own Yorick skull.
