While shooting his latest film, Public Enemies, Johnny Depp spent a lot of time in Chicago. The movie, which premiered in Los Angeles on June 23, is about the notorious criminal John Dillinger, a depression-era bank robber who was killed in Chicago after escaping prison.
While Depp, who stars as Dillinger, was filming in Chicago, he told Vanity Fair that he would drink at the Kerryman, an Irish pub and restaurant, and eat at Gene & Georgetti, a famous Chicago steakhouse. He also spent time at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Music Exchange, which carries a vast collection of vintage and new guitars.
