Other articles in the series about sports Halls of Fame:

- Halls of Fame for North America's major sports

- 16 more sports Halls of Fame in the Eastern United States

Now that we've taken a look now at Halls of Fame for the major professional sports leagues, and for 16 additional sports Halls that are located in the Eastern United States, it's time to review 13 more Halls that are located in the Central and Western regions of the country.
Western United States
Colorado leads the way in the Western U.S. with three Halls of Fame, for figure skating, mountain biking, and pro rodeo. The Bicycling Hall of Fame is in the process of moving to the biking hotbed of Davis, California, from New Jersey, while Tucson, Arizona, has the Handball Hall of Fame. A different but quite interesting Hall is the World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame in Boise, Idaho, which honors athletes who have been heavily engaged in humanitarian and community service work.

Central United States
The most prominent Hall of Fame in this region of the country is the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. But there are seven other Halls in the north and south central regions of the U.S. The most popular of these is the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana. The College Basketball Hall of Fame, meanwhile, is a new attraction in Kansas City, Missouri. Three Halls of Fame are in Oklahoma: for gymnastics, softball and wrestling. The Bowling Hall of Fame is moving to Arlington, Texas, from its previous home in St. Louis, Missouri., and the Ski and Snowboard Hall is in Michigan.
