There are lots of festivals going on this weekend. My spies tell me that these events likely will have enough singles mixed in with pairs to make it worthwhile to venture out. Make eye contact, smile, and talk to strangers, and soon you’ll find romance!
Meet your new sweetie while checking out the barbequed oysters, great wine and fabulous entertainment at the Bodega Seafood Art & Wine Festival in Bodega. It’s located at the Watts Ranch, 16855 Bodega Highway from 10 am - 6pm Saturday and 10am - 5pm Sunday. Dance to Stompy Jones followed by Tommy Castro on Saturday or The Zydeco Flames followed by Mitch Woods and His Rocket 88's on Sunday. For more information, visit their website at www.winecountryfestivals.com.
Check out San Francisco’s OutsideLands Music and Arts Festival at the Polo Fields, Lindley and Speedway Meadows in Golden Gate Park. This eco-friendly event features six stages with various artists all weekend. Headliners are Tom Petty on Saturday and Jack Johnson on Sunday, with dozens of other bands for your listening pleasure. The food vendors are Bay Area favorites, and over 20 Bay Area wineries are also participating. For more information visit their website www.sfoutsidelands.com
If you want to go to something a little more low key, check out the wonderful artists at the Tiburon art festival. Word has it that it is a much sweeter and more comfortable version of the Sausalito Art Festival, with some very high quality work. This year the chief curator from the Oakland Museum and the assistant curator from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art juried the work. Visit www.tiburon-artfestival.com for more information.
Remember to talk to lots of strangers, and you'll find your next love before you know it!
