If you’re like most single people, your true love is disguised as a stranger. You have know idea what his or her looks, demeanor, and voice are like. Your romantic assignment is to solve the mystery of "Who is the Love of Your Life?"
Start flirting with everyone you encounter, whether you are waiting in line, shopping or otherwise going about your day. Smile, say hi, and acknowledge their response. Most people will smile and return your greeting.
Occasionally someone will ignore you, or be rude. When that happens, tell yourself that they are having a bad day, and move on. At least you know that they’re not The One!
If someone starts a conversation with you, you’ll quickly discover if you want to continue. When you want to break away, graciously say that you’ve enjoyed chatting, but that it's time for you to leave.
The best way to meet people to date is to talk to as many people as you can. Casual, playful, conversations are a great prelude to romance.
Fearless flirting tips are part of a new series of short articles that will enable me to post more frequently. I will continue my previous series of longer articles once or twice a week.
I will be speaking about Dating Blunders on View From the Bay at 3 P.M.on KGO-TV ABC Channel 7, Wednesday, December 3.
