The Fort Worth Star-Telegram conducted a survey of local pro athletes to see how they’d be voting, and the Cowboys were decidedly prObama. Sixty-nine percent of them declared they’d be voting for the Senator from Illinois in the Nov. 4 election, which he won handily. Only 23 percent expressed support for John McCain and the others were either undecided or not voting.

Fullback Deon Anderson and center Cory Proctor took opposite sides and were both quoted by the Star-Telegram. In voicing his support for McCain, Proctor said, "I like everything he stands for. McCain is about America. Obama is not."

Anderson, it seems, had a much simpler time making his decision.

“Voting for whoever the Democrat is,” he told the Star-Telegram.

In fairness to him, I’m sure he said a bit more than that.

In the end though, neither of their votes mattered. McCain won Texas, and Obama won the election.
