Allow me to quote former Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green.
“They are who we thought they were.”
That certainly describes the Dallas Cowboys we saw get blown out 35-14 by the New York Giants. No doubt, the Giants are good. Getting a win was going to take an unexpected, inspired performances chock full of surprises from the Cowboys’ offense.
But I think everyone saw 35-14 and complete domination coming.
Who’s ready for Tony Romo to come back?
Courtesy of Todd Archer at the Dallas Morning News, let’s check out the performance of Dallas’ quarterbacks against New York.
Johnson was replaced after halftime Sunday by Brooks Bollinger. The Giants turned Johnson's two interceptions into 14 points. In his three starts, Johnson has thrown five interceptions in 78 attempts. Romo has thrown the same amount in 200 attempts this season.
"I've got nothing to say about that," said Johnson, who finished with a 27.3 passer rating. "They made the decision."
Bollinger's first pass was intercepted by safety James Butler. Two plays later, Brandon Jacobs bounced off three tacklers on his way to the end zone for a 12-yard score and a 28-7 lead.
The bye week next week couldn’t come at a better time.
