Biggest game of the season? No doubt. A must-win? Naw.

But if they lose, they’ll be left with a schedule full of must-wins.

The Cowboys will spend their Sunday playing against NFC East rivals the Washington Redskins on the road, and the season is dangerously close to slipping away.

Dallas can’t be loving its 5-4 record, but if the Super Bowl was a foregone conclusion before opening day, surely the playoffs remain a given.

“Absolutely,” says Jerry Jones.

I’m a bit more skeptical, but with the news that Clinton Portis likely won’t play Sunday, Dallas could pick up the big win.

Tony Romo is making his long awaited return afterall. While it remains to be seen if he’ll enter the stadium astride a white steed, they’ll need plenty of heroics from the quarterback.
