When the good folks of Omaha want to get away to central Florida—specifically the magic that is Orlando—they’ve got to change planes, or take a one-stop Southwest flight.
They’ll get a bit (though just a bit) of respite from the connection carousel come January 15, 2010. That’s when Midwest Airlines is set to launch a quartet of weekly nonstops from Omaha’s Eppley Airfield (OMA) to Orlando International Airport (MCO). The run will last till April 18, 2010. It’s a seasonal deal.
The aircraft of choice on the route is a new 99-seat Embraer 190. The craft arrays two seats on each side of the aisle. No middle seats to mess with. One-way rates start at $114 – exclusive of taxes and fees.
