One of the looks that will never go out of style is a classic, netural look, like Anne Hathaway's makeup at the Oscars.

To get Anne Hathaway's makeup look, begin by enhancing your eyebrows.  You'll notice that rather than being heavy and dark, the eyebrows in Hathaway's Oscar makeup are soft and defined.  Recreate this look by using a brow powder or eyeshadow in a color that is one shade to two full shades lighter than the natural shade of your eyebrows.  Use an angled makeup brush to create the look.

Sweep a favorite neutral eyeshadow over the lid. In Anne Hathaway's Oscars makeup, the eyeshadow is well-blended and not at all loaded with shimmer.  Something softer, like Smashbox Eye Shadow Palette in Beam, will add just the right amount of shine without looking over-the-top.

Eyes are defined by using plenty of black eyeliner, blended heavily into the lashline on the top only.  A subtle lining underneath the eye and several coats of mascara completes Anne Hathaway's Oscars eye makeup.

Cheeks are washed with just a hint of color.  One of the best all-around blushes that would work well in recreating the makeup look worn by Anne Hathaway would be NARS blush in Orgasm. This shade looks amazing on almost any skin tone.

The stand-out part of Anne Hathaway's makeup look for the Oscars are her beautiful, berry colored lips.  This lip look is not for everyone, especially those with thin lips, or those with a lot of fine lines in the lip area. However, those with average to full lips can pull of a color this bold without any problems.  When using a lipstick to recreate this lip look, choose a sheer berry color and apply several layers.  This is by far a more youthful and wearable look than using lip color that is matte and weighted down.
