Are you caught in between an emotional high and an emotional low?Emotional states, unless prolonged abnormally by psychological or physiological illness, are usually transient in nature.

You may wake up feeling energized and optimistic and by mid-morning sense your energy being drained and your jaw clenching from stress.

The ups and downs of emotions may be accepted as a daily occurrence because functionality and survival mode seem to be the goals.

However, have you considered what it would feel like or what you would experience if you imbued peace and serenity in the majority of your day?

Human nature may not allow you to feel enlightened and blissful every waking moment, but it is possible to become consciously aware of your thoughts and feelings, stop the snowball progression of negative triggers and fears, and purposefully choose a happier path.

The roller coaster ride of emotions can be draining so first it's important to protect and shield yourself energetically. For example, you may have been in a situation where you walk into a room and the tension is palpable.

Do not allow yourself to be codependent on someone else's harmful emotional state. Visualize a shield of protective light surrounding you and imagine a powerful sword, such as Archangel Michael's, cutting through invisible cord attachments and releasing you from energy vampires.

Past negative emotions can also come up frequently throughout the day disguised as ingrained self-defeating patterns you didn't even realize existed. If you haven't processed past hurts and given forgiveness yet to yourself or someone else, you will not be able to evolve to emotional freedom.

Try performing a releasement ceremony to let go of old anger, resentment, fear, and emotional pain so that self-destructive and limiting perceptions can no longer haunt you. By releasing emotions that weigh you down, you can increase personal power, build self-esteem, and enhance confidence.

You can also pay attention to your dreams and use a journal to record possible insights and interpretations. Dreaming helps you subconsciously process and analyze underlying emotions related to life aspects.

Shadow out the negativity with potent inspirational products, motivational movies, and personal development literature. In other words, putting primary emphasis on good, positive, spiritually uplifting emotions can assist you in not giving power to negative, transient ones.

Concentrating on the here and now can help you maintain a focus so that you catch yourself before the slippery slope of negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors ensues. Take a deep breath and remember the adage that "this too shall pass."

Starting with a clean, healthy emotional slate can be an empowering source of inner contentment to wake up to and infuse into your daily routine.

Instead of participating in the highs and lows of emotional drama, transcend the pendulum swing and rise above the illusion of ego battles. You don't have to lack empathy and be completely aloof. Take the approach of compassionate detachment.

Release from the past what no longer serves a purpose, concentrate optimistically on present well-being, and consciously create a future of harmony, balance, and bliss.

Affirmations: I consciously maintain a healthy, stable emotional state because I choose to live in bliss. If I get upset, I realize that this too shall pass and I breathe out perceived tension. I own my responsibility in any life challenges and therefore increase my personal power by transforming negative emotions into positive states of being.
