The Longfellow National Historic Site invites those seeking ghostly tales to take part in a special themed tour, just for Halloween, which focuses on 19th-century America’s fascination with death and mourning.

Hear why Longfellow believed that “all houses wherein men have lived and died are haunted houses” and how he tried to contact spirits.

This suitably spooky program will be presented by Rob Velella, Park Ranger.

When: Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 at 6 p.m.

Where: 105 Brattle Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts

Cost: $3 admission for ages 16 and up

RSVP required: Call 617/876-4491
