This Friday, May 1st, The Belmont Bar in Hamtramck is throwing a belated Earth Day celebration to benefit Recycled Treasures, a Hamtramck based charity whose mission is to "To build a more viable, sustainable and caring urban community by promoting recycling of household resources, assisting vulnerable neighbors regarding those resource needs, and encourage the creative "Reuse" of items to reduce landfill".

Music will be served from 7pm until closing time, with a silent auction, door prizes, drink specials, and another opportunity to party for a better world, (something that The Belmont seems to do quite a bit of). There will be a $10 suggested donation at the door, and the party will feature the music of, The Meltdowns; Rise of the Peace Balloon; Cowboy Messiah; Hamtramck's own, Richard Lee Sparks; International one man blues band sensation, Jawbone; and Action Painters, from N.Y.C..

Help save the world by drinking beer and dancing yourself silly, (and don't forget your cape!).
