A few years ago I went through a serious I-want-to-play-an-acoustic-guitar phase. It probably came from all of the india.arie and Lauryn Hill I was listening too. Anyway, thanks to a really fabulous group of friends, I got one as a birthday gift. Only now, about five years or so later, I still don't know how to play the thing. I sometimes pull it out and strum a few sick little notes, but that's about it.
But I digress.
I recently decided to show my 2-year-old son Dutch my guitar and he was super excited about. He strummed the same little sick notes and the next day he wanted to take it to daycare. When I told him he couldn't, he announced that he'd like to have his very own guitar. So the hunt for the perfect kiddie guitar began and now I'm sharing with you the fruits of my search labor, you know, just in case you have a little rocker at home too.
