She’s making a list.
     She’s checking it twice.
And then she’s hitting the road, determined to hand out the gift of music to her friends and fans.
For the third consecutive year, Wynonna will bring holiday cheer to 15 cities across the country in A Classic Christmas tour, named after her 2006 Top 10 Billboard Country CD.
The Christmas tour kicks off November 28, 2009 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
“I take great comfort in tradition, and I have always loved the season of Christmas,” Wynonna coos. “What the spirit of Christmas means to me is faith, family and fellowship. I’m excited to share those gifts with my fans on the road this year.”

Holiday music lovers can expect to hear such favorites as her Top 5 hit “Santa Claus is Coming To Town,” her Top 10 hit single “Winter Wonderland” and “White Christmas,” as well as “It’s The Messiah”–a beautiful, original piece written by her band leader and album producer Don Potter.
Joining Wy on the road will be her performing elves: the Palmetto State Quartet, who will add background vocals. One of the most recognizable names in Gospel music, the quartet is led by Wynonna’s papa, Larry Strickland, himself a former member of The Stamps, Elvis Presley’s background quartet.
Here’s our gift to you, Wy’s complete A Classic Christmas tour dates. Gift-wrapping not needed.

On November 21, right before kicking off her musical excursion, Wy revisits her Appalachian childhood, where she will join CSX, Food City and the Kingsport, Tennessee Area Chamber of Commerce as special guest, where she will participate in the 67th annual CSX Santa Train.
“I decided to ride the Santa Train this year because I want for my children to experience as much as they can. I also want to teach them about other people and what their life experiences are like,” Wynonna says.
The Santa Train will make 14 stops in the mountains of Kentucky, Judd’s home state, Virginia and Tennessee. Wynonna, along with Santa Claus and volunteers will deliver 15 tons of toys, including six pallets donated by the Children’s Miracle Network, to thousands of residents who live along the route.
