Trisha Yearwood knows how to serve it up. Just ask Garth Brooks. Or a turkey.

She dishes it out.
     And we serve it.
Country crooner Trisha Yearwood, along with mama Gwen and sister Beth, have compiled another round of hearty family recipes for Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood, a cookbook that will be on bookshop menus around April 6, 2010. (In 2008, her first cookbook, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen, hit the New York Times Bestseller List.)
We haven’t been invited, but we heard that no one leaves Trisha’s home hungry. The proof will be in the pudding . . . Indeed, the book’s practical recipes, personal anecdotes and delicious depictions of the hearty fare you’ll find at Yearwood family gatherings make Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood read like notes from a friend. Trisha focuses on recipes culled from recent gatherings and shared meals, and the stories behind them that feature her extended family and close circle of friends. She will help you figure out what delicious food to bring when you’re invited to a church supper, party, picnic, even a post-Country Music Association fete.
Nothing like heaven, heartache, the power of love. And some  tasty Southern meals.
Think of the calories! Readers will savor such one-pot dishes, pastas, salads, refreshments and desserts including: Garth’s Breakfast Bowl, Cowboy Lasagna, Cornbread Salad with French Dressing, Vegetable Pie, Spice Cake with Lemon Sauce and Grandma Yearwood’s Coconut Cake.
     Sweet.
