Villa Cimbrone's Belvedere Terrace

The Amalfi coast in Italy is justifiably famous for its breathtaking beauty, the sheer cliffs overlooking the cobalt Tyrrhenian Sea, the scent of lemon groves and bougainvilleas, hand-painted ceramic potteries that reflect the landscape, and romantic hotels sandwiched between sea and sky.

It was just such views, gardens, and arched grottoes and crypts, combined with the graciousness of the staff, that convinced my own daughter to book Villa Cimbrone for her wedding reception after a planned wedding in the Ravello Duomo.
