Holiday cards can take on a new meaning this year. As more companies cut back on expenses, holiday cards can help you with your business relationships without costing a large sum.
Here are some ideas to get more out of what can be a missed marketing opportunity:
Add a personal note to each card--it shows thoughtfulness and that extra time was given
Hand address the envelope, it's more personal
Add a business card or two--you never know who might end up with your card
Sign the cards instead of opting for the much easier route of having the names of the employees and/or company printed
Send the cards early before the recipient is overwhelmed with other cards
Try to be the first Christmas or holiday card that the recipient receives
Custom print your cards using a professional designer and printer with a graphical message or design that communicates your brand
Thank your customer for their loyal patronage
If you get behind, send a "Happy New Year" card
Stand out from the crowd, send cards throughout the year -- not many businesses send out Valentine's cards to their customers!
