Halloween Forecast: Fri. Oct. 31

Look for a spooktacular Halloween this Friday. A mainly sunny day is expected with some afternoon scattered cloudiness. Highs will range from 60 to 65. Cooler readings well north and west of city. Warmer city and south. As the ghouls and goblins roam the streets looking for treats, temps will be in the 57 to 61 range.

Election Day Forecast: Tues. Nov. 4

As we cast our votes for President, we should have partly cloudy skies with temps in the lower 60s for highs by afternoon. However, early morning voters will have temps in the upper 40s to lower 50s. As we are glued to the television and internet that night awaiting the numbers, some scattered showers could develop.

LONG RANGE COMMENTS:

A large storm system will develop in the Plains by early next week, and likely affect our weather by Wednesday and Thursday. Rain and thunderstorms are possible those days. With the energy of that system coming into a relatively mild airmass, some of the storms could produce locally heavy rainfall. In addition, a few strong to perhaps an isolated severe storm is possible.

After that system moves thru, it would appear at this time, more winter like weather could return to our area.

That's my take on the weather during the extended. Next update will be this weekend. Enjoy your Halloween!
