As many of you know, it is a good idea to only eat oysters in months that include an R in their name. Summer months produce less quality oysters, often unpleasant to eat. Due to this theory, I can’t help but shed a few tears after realizing I only have 21 days left in prime oyster-eating season.
My favorite place to dine on these delicious little items is Jax Fish House. From 4 to 6pm, oysters are only $1 each. Wine and beer are also on special, along with a martini-margarita house cocktail.
Oyster shooters can be purchased for $3 and are great for anyone that enjoys a spicy kick with their meal. I also recommend the calamari. It is very tasty and served with a delicious sweet sauce.
While the place is constantly packed and finding a seat can prove challenging, the bartenders are attentive and the guests quite friendly. Just in case you do have an issue with service, hollar for Mr. Clark, the cute bartender, and let him know I sent you.
