The Oxygen Network announced the weight loss reality show 'Dance Your Ass Off' will return in 2010 for season two.The first season was a BIG hit (pardon the pun). Featuring professional dancers paired with overweight contestants who competed by dancing their hearts out and their Asses off to lose the most weight. Collectively, they danced off an impressive 500 pounds!

First season winner Ruben Permel of Las Vegas lost a total of 73 pounds and took home the $100,000 prize. He had this to say to PEOPLE,"On the show, we learned choreography, a routine. Now I can go social dancing. I can do the fox trot, I can do the salsa, I can do a swing dance with a complete stranger"." It’s kind of cliché to say, ‘Oh [the show] changed my life,’ but actually it did.”

Magical Elves Production Company will produce the season two. Their goal is to inspire healthy eating and weight loss practices with the hopes of motivating people to get up, get moving and dancing off the excess pounds. Open casting calls will be held in New York, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago. All dates are to be announced. Interested participants can apply at: http://tinyurl.com/yj9rtp6. May the best dancer LOSE!
