I keep seeing a message on Facebook about Project Working Mom.  Though most of you are probably technosavvy, some of the readers are not using any of the latest social utilities.   I thought I would include the content of the message in a post just for them.  I have not had a chance to check into it so tell me what you think.

If Project Working Mom is anything like a scholarship that was offered sevearl years ago, I have a close association with a mom who benefitted from it.  She decided to go to webdesign school.  She became the only person in the area who could offer animation on websites.  She created a niche and a career that allowed her to work from home when she needed to.

The following information was copied verbatim from the Project Working Mom website:

Through Project Working Mom: Putting Education to Work, eLearners.com will be a catalyst for communities to come together to help establish much-needed resources for the working mother population. eLearners.com has found three barriers associated with moms returning to school—time, money and confidence.

eLearners.com is committed to addressing these issues by raising awareness, aggregating support for a solution and serving as a resource for working moms to pursue their educational dreams.

In this effort, eLearners.com is establishing:

An online resource center for moms to find camaraderie, information, scholarships, advice and other resources to facilitate educational pursuits
A political agenda to raise federal awareness and financial aid
A support and scholarship effort leveraging eLearners.com's contacts with the higher education community
Partnerships with USAToday.com, The Army Times, and Salary.com to showcase triumphant success stories and increase the awareness of online education opportunities
A thought leadership group to provide direction and rally support
