An affair with Richard Simmons would be more interesting.

I feel it's my duty to speak to the David Letterman affair.  "Hello David Letterman affair.  How are you?  Tired?  I thought so."

Are we surprised that he had affairs?  Would it have been difficult to have affairs if you were David Letterman?  I'm actually quite sick of hearing about this kind of gossip and treachery on celebrities.  I'm glad he admitted it, and I hope that we're all moving on now.  It's time to focus on what's really important: gossip and comedy about the actual bad things that are going on in the world.  Things that can be improved by saying bad things about them: world affairs.  How about raising CAFE standards?  How about getting off our butts and walking to the gym instead of driving our SUV's?  How about not just overhauling the healthcare system but actually addressing the real reasons why it's in trouble:  poor eating habits, poor exercise habits, people not taking responsibility for their health, and corporations profiting from our negligence.

What's more interesting: Marc Maron, an amazing comedian who you may still not have heard of (a travesty in itself) is performing at The Punch Line next weekend, October 8 - 10.  Go see him!!!  I promise it'll be ten times more interesting and funny than what you saw on Letterman last night.
"Imaginary evil is romantic and varied; real evil is gloomy, monotonous,
barren, boring. Imaginary good is boring; real good is always new,
marvelous, intoxicating."

- Simone Weil
