Geni adds pro accounts

Leading blog SocalTECH.com that focuses on Southern Californian based companies reported that, "Hollywood-based Geni, an online site that allows users to share family trees and network with relatives and family, is the latest Web 2.0 site to add "pro" accounts to their services. According to Geni, its new pro accounts will cost $50.00 annually, or $4.95 per month, and offers value added features such as statistics on family history, advanced search, enhanced relationship searching, and exporting of family trees. The new Pro accounts were launched Friday afternoon. Geni also said, along with the new Pro accounts, that it has added features for more advanced searching for data, plus "tree statistics" which allow users to see statistics such as the gender mix of their families, average life expectancy, most common surnames, languages, religions, and much more."
