With the DNC coming to Denver, 50,000 delegates, visitors, politicians and media will soon be in Mile High City. Welcome to Denver!
How could you possibly visit the "Leanest State in the US" without having a go on our well frequented trails? Hoping to hike in the Rocky Mountain air? Wishing to workout in a clean, serene luxury gym? Yeah, Denver's got it.
There are hundreds of trail options outdoors just in the Denver Metro area, and many of Denver's hotels are situated within walking distance of some of the best workout facilities around, such as the Denver Athletic Club, the Colorado Athletic Club, 24 Hour Fitness, and the newest club/spa in Cherry Creek, Pura Vida. In short, whether you like the indoors or outdoors, either way you've got loads of options.
I've set up "public runs" for several routes in Downtown Denver if you are looking for a safe, fun trail to ride a bike, jog, run, or just walk. You can view these routes on my profile on MapMyRun.com, or browse for urban trails in the Denver Metro area, including long bike rides to Mt. Evans from Downtown (131 miles!) and shorter distances such as the 8 mile Downtown loop that heads through the hip Highlands area!
I'll be posting runs convenient to the hotels in the area, so stay tuned!
