The situation in Iran continues to grow more dire with each passing hour.
Due to a nationwide media blackout, social networking sites such as Myspace, YouTube and, in particular, Twitter have become the only reliable means for Iranians to keep in contact with each other.
These sites have also become the outside world's most trustworthy source of information regarding the growing conflict, with major news sources such as CNN, MSNBC and Fox relying on Twitter to help shape some of their breaking news headlines.
