The situation in Iran continues to grow more dire with each passing hour.

Due to a nationwide media blackout, social networking sites such as Myspace, YouTube and, in particular, Twitter have become the only reliable means for Iranians to keep in contact with each other.

These sites have also become the outside world's most trustworthy source of information regarding the growing conflict, with major news sources such as CNN, MSNBC and Fox relying on Twitter to  help shape some of their breaking news headlines.

In my article Iranocalypse, I showcased some of the latest harrowing Tweets coming out of Iran. For a real taste of what's happening on the ground in the Islamic Republic of Iran, read on...

Please, do an Examiner a favor... if you've got a Twitter account, go ahead and follow these guys. Their voices need to be heard by as many people as possible.

I will continue to post more Tweets from Iran as the crisis deepens... and believe me, it will.

There are now only 1283 days left until the End of the World.
