For those of you blogging al puttanesca, I was wearing Warrior gear two years before any of you. So Colt Brennan, I feel you my brother.
This picture was taken circa Thanksgiving 2006. The island of Molokai is in the background. I hear Danny White convalesced there after his rendezvous with Dexter Manley.
I received my season ticket package earlier this week. I nearly flung myself into the arms of the Fed Ex delivery guy, al la Jimmy Fallon in Fever Pitch.
I am juiced for tonight’s game. Yes, I am a little too excited for a preseason game, but the last time I was at Fed Ex field was a pretty damn good time (Skins 27, Cowgirls 6).
As for the game:
Clinton Portis is—stunner—expected to see action tonight. It will be nice to see Bro Sweets, Southeast Jerome, Coach Janky Spanky get some PT.
I expect Jason Campbell to continue his solid play. With Todd Wade and Stephon Heyer on the shelf look for Chad Rhinehart to get extended playing time, which should really help his development.
Happy second birthday to The Curly R. Ben has warmly welcomed me to the Redskins’ cyberspace, and I appreciate that. Depending on his negotiation skills, Ben may be enjoying the game from the friendly confines of section 444.
Speaking of movies:
We all know Chris Cooley’s nickname is borrowed from Dom Deluise’s character in the should-have-been-Oscar nominated Cannonball Run. However, Joe Theismann is the first Redskins connection to Captain Chaos. Joe starred as Mack the tow-truck driver in the underappreciated sequel Cannonball Run II. Joe battles side-by-side Chaos, Burt Reynolds, the Rat Pack, and Jackie Chan in the valiant crusade against the vile hordes of Don Don Canneloni.
