One of the best places to watch the July 4th fireworks show at South Lake Tahoe is at Nevada Beach. Nevada Beach is located on the east shore of Lake Tahoe, 3 miles north of Stateline, NV in the small community of Roundhill. Take Highway 50 to Elks Point Road. Nevada Beach is towards the lake, 1/2 mile west of the intersection and the Roundhill Shopping Center.
Just above Nevada Beach is a campground with 54 camping sites and 25 picnic sites. To make camp site reservations call: 1-877-444-6777. For information, other than reservations, about Nevada Beach and Campground call: (775) 588-5562. Both the campground and the beach offer restrooms, but there are no showers. $28 (standard) - $32 (premium) per night. For day use there is a vehicle fee of $7 per car.
Pets are allowed, on a leash, in the campground area. They are not, however, allowed in the picnic area or on the beach.
On July 4th and Labor Day there are fireworks displays. The fireworks are set off from a barge on Lake Tahoe and Nevada Beach is an excellent viewing location, but not the only viewing location. Other location considerations are Pope and Baldwin Beaches, Regan Beach, El Dorado Beach and Zephyr Cove Resort Beach.
