Radio-- Info's Tom Taylor reports that DJ Bubba the Love Sponge is back at Howard Stern's Sirius radio channel clutching a freshly signed contract.
But, his show is a rebroadcast of the terrestrial radio show he's now doing in Tampa.
WTF????????? I thought satellite was supposed to be bringing new unfettered content?? Sirius subscribers are pissed, but the satellite network promises he will also be working on exclusive content for it.
This is not a good sign for Mel Karmazin's struggling empire. They obviously paid the Sponge less than he could get commercial dial. No wonder, after paying top dog Stern half $1 billion.
Bubba returned to broadcast radio in January, 2008 on Cox Radio's WHPT-FM (102.5 The Bone)/Tampa and WFYV-FM (Rock 105)/Jacksonville, both Classic Rock outlets.
