That’s right, you heard me. I said frogs. Apparently, in celebration of the impending switch over to day light savings time (happening this weekend, so don’t forget), this Sunday, March 8th, visitors can participate in the all day long “Spring Forward- A Celebration of Amphibians” at the Denver Zoo. All the exotic species will be on hand for your gazing pleasure, and you can even learn something (if you dare) about how to care for frog-like creatures living right here in Colorado. The zoo has now entered its summer hours, 9:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M, so come on down and make a day of it.
As an added bonus, you can check out Pongo, the 6’2” Giraffe, born on February 15th, or the newborn (and yet to be titled) endangered Golden Lion Tamarin (of the primate persuasion for us non-zoological types), born on February 26th, and rumored to weigh, according to the zoo website, little more than a kiwi fruit.
Tickets are $12.00 for adults, $9.00 for kids, and can be purchased online here.
