You heard right “Recession Fashion” it’s what we are all striving for in these economical times. These are the times were we put our penny benching to use. This is when we begin to explore the back of the store first…you know the SALE rack, become BFF’s with it. The only time we visit the front of the store is when we have a coupon or it’s our last resort! You can also take the time to sit back one Saturday and just look through your closet and see what you can re-vamp into an Oh-So Fabulous Ensemble! This will allow you to clean as well as shop through your own clothes. As woman of the new millennium we always want to look our best and be in the know when it comes to everything well, especially fashion; so in order to maintain your fashion standards take advantage of your local bargain stores, become that bargain shopper. That person that will go through racks, and racks of clothes to find that great steal; believe me it’s there you just have to take the time to find it.

So as you go on your journey of becoming a recession shopper use this time to begin exploring the lost treasure of fashion….The thrift store. You’ve might not of known it, but you are some of the thrift stores number one contributors; how so? Remember that time when you cleaned your closet out a couple of years ago and donated all of those nice suites and handbags to the Salvation Army or other charitable organizations? Well hello, Bingo! Yahtzee you’re in the money! Hit up all the thrift stores in the city, county wherever there is one go, and you will be amazed at what you can find. Make the best out of this time to get reconnected to the frugal you. Create your own “Recession Fashion” and see what you come up with.

Here is my tip for staying Fab-O on a budget. Get yourself a nice T-shirt (your basic V-Neck white, black it’s up too you), a pair of black trousers (always have a basic black trouser), a pair of heals (popping color, already in your closet), jewelry (www.jazzyjewelz.net), purse (www.target.com ) pop on some makeup and there you have it, “Recession Fashion”…this look is under $80 BAM!

So, Until next time stay…Fabulously Nifty Thrifty!
