Barack is back. Like a rock star returning to the city where he got his first big break, Barack Obama is returning to the Mile High city.
It’s only for one day, and it’s not open to the public, but Obama’s visit recognizes Colorado as a leader of the green energy revolution in America.
The president is scheduled to land at Buckley Air Force Base at 11:30 a.m. He will then tour the Denver Museum of Nature and Science with Vice President Joe Biden before signing the aptly titled America Recovery and Reinvestment bill. Joining them on the tour will be Namaste Solar CEO Blake Jones.
Who? Blake Jones! The former Haliburton employee is one of three founders of Namaste Solar, an employee-owned company. After leaving the oil and gas industry Jones went to work in Nepal to outfit remote villages with sustainable solar energy. Since returning to Colorado Jones has led Namaste to dominate the solar energy industry with a unique business model.
The company’s basic function is installing solar panels on the roofs of houses and commercial buildings. In the past four years the company has installed more solar systems than any other company in Colorado and its workforce has since grown to over 45. Apply here!
