Twitter has defeated its own purpose: it has created a tool, but also a monster, to filter who you follow. In other words, "Twitter lists" might end up a lazier way of only paying attention to what your friends did today. And also @Danny_DeVito--I promise he's worthy of "following."

The idea of personalizing Twitter by categorizing different feeds into lists is pretty genius. Listorious, the site that was born soon after its inspiration, is also pretty genius--It catalogs all Twitter lists and ranks them by list popularity via topic. Lists must be added into its directory to be ranked.

And to conclude--I will suggest the best list of them all--my ridiculous friends and I trying to outwit one another: http://twitter.com/chelseD/wejoke.
