Spooky Spider Maze at Plasko's Farm in Trumbull, CT.

Five orchards and farms in Connecticut have plowed their corn fields into unique corn mazes. Below is a list of five corn mazes located in Middlefield, Trumbull, South Windsor, Lebanon, and Thompson, CT. For a list of other Halloween attractions visit Top 5 Halloween attractions in CT.

  • Plasko's Farm in located at 670 Daniels Farm Road in Trumbull, CT. The theme of their 2009 corn maze is a spooky spider. Each year a new design is chosen in their 4 acres of 10 foot tall corn. Plasko's Spooky Spider Maze is open Fridays from 3:00-5:00pm and Saturday and Sundays from 9:00am-6:00pm. The last ticket is sold at 5:00pm. "Corn cops" are located in the maze to help if you get lost. "Escape hatches" are also accessible in the event that your young children have had enough or you need to leave the maze. $1 off each admission ticket will benefit "Swim Around the Sound" cancer prevention and education programs.   • The past 10 years Lyman Orchards has created unique corn maze designs. This year their presidents theme is characterized by George Washington and Barack Obama's faces in their corn maze. The maze is open until November 1, 2009. Admission cost is $9 for adults (13 and over), $5 for children (3-12), and free for children under 3. Lyman Orchard's maze will be open Wednesday-Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 10:00am-6:00pm. A $1 coupon is available online.
  • Daytime and flashlight mazes are held at Foster Family Farm. Weekends through November 1st their maze is open on 90 Foster Street in South Windsor, CT. The 2009 theme is dinosaurs. Admission cost is $10 for adults 13 years of age and older, $7 for children 5-12 years old, $9 for senior citizens 60 and older, and children under 4 are free. The maze is open Friday through Sunday from 10:00am-6:00pm. The flashlight maze is open until 9:30pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. Flashlight maze admission cost is $9 for adults, $6 for children, $8 for senior citizens, and free for children 4 and under. For more information call Foster Family Farm at (860) 648-9366.
  • R-Farm Corn Maze is located at 353 Tobacco Street in Lebanon, CT. Their corn maze is open daily...including Halloween night! Monday through Friday they are open 3:00pm-6:00pm. Saturday and Sunday they are open 9:00am-6:00pm. The remaining available dates for this attraction is 10/30 and 10/31/09. R-Farm also features a nighttime corn maze with bring your own flashlights or rent one for $1. Admission cost is $6 per person during the day and children under 3 are free. Nighttime maze admission is slightly higher at $9 per person.
  • If you happen to be in a chopper and fly over Thompson don't be surprised if you see a cow and calf design at Fort Hill Farm's corn maze. Fort Hill Farm's 2009 theme is "building awareness about the nature of food." This theme is incorporated into their cow design and game sheet challenege inside the maze. Fort Hill Farms is located at 260 Quaddick Road in Thompson, CT. As you enter the corn maze you will receive a 4 page game sheet to be completed as you walk through the maze in search of clues about locally grown foods, the slow food movement, and why it leads to healthy families. Look for the 30 desks throughout the maze to find the answers you need for your game sheet. Admission cost is $12 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Fort Hill Farm's maze will be open until November 8, 2009, past the Halloween rush. Maze hours are Sunday-Thursday 10:00am-5:00pm and Friday and Saturday 10:00am-10:00pm. Flashlight Nights at dusk allows you to journey through the maze with your flashlights. For more information call (860) 923-3439.
