This weekend is the 'Unofficial Start of Summer' in Chicago.  As usual, Chicago will start out the season with more gusto than Remember those "Choose your own adventure" books where you'd read a page and then decide to go into the cave by turning to page 93 or going down the trail by turning to page 14?  Well this weekend is going to be just like that, there are so many hot things going on in Chicago this weekend that you'll have a hard time deciding what you want to do.  So what will you choose to do:  IML, Grabby's, Bear Pride, watching hot Volleyball players or perhaps hanging out at the beach? 

 

The 31st Annual International Mr. Leather Contest takes residence in it's new home - the Hilton Chicago, 720 S Michigan starting Thursday night when there registration process begins for this years contestants.  The past few years have seen more than 50 contestants cross the stage in hopes of becoming this years International Mr. Leather.  In addition to the contest you can also partake of the ever interesting and intriguing Leather Market where you can find more than your fair share of fetish gear.  

Also, don't miss the International Mr. Bootblack held in conjunction with IML, which hasn't been around as long as IML but will select their 16th winner this year. 

Numerous events are planned around IML, including the Pecs & Personality contest on Saturday and the IML Contest on Sunday followed on Monday evening by the popular Black & Blue Ball held at Excalibur.  In addition there are numerous parties at the host hotel as well as events around the city.    Most events require a ticket, but entry to the Leather Mart is free!

Keep your eyes out for the men in Leather and be sure to say Hello!

It's not just the Leather Men in town this weekend....oh no, the Porn Stars are here too!!!!  

The 2009 Erotic Video Awards - The Grabbys, will hold their annual awards ceremony at Park West on Saturday Evening.  Events have been planned around the city to get folks excited about porn - oh wait, you need to get people excited about porn? 

Porn stars, directors and all sorts of celebrities from the adult world will descend on Chicago and crown the 'Best of the Best'

Make sure you're at Park West early to catch the Red Carpet Walkthrough where you'll get a chance to see all of your favorite actors up close and personal before the show.

GRRRR, the Bears are here.....The Bears are here!!!!  Leather, Porn and Bears - can it get any better than that?  And Goldilocks is nowhere to be found, but that's perfectly fine.

Bear Pride celebrates 15 years and their theme is proudly "It's All About Chicago" The annual event, sponsored in part by the local Great Lakes Bears organization is taking over the Crowne Plaza on West Madison.

Among the festivities planned are a welcome party at Jackhammer on Thursday, trolley tours of the city, an architectural boat tour and the ever yummy Wet n' Wild party at Steamworks on Sunday.

The Mr. Bear Pride contest will be held on Saturday night at Double Door hosted by Woofer.  The big dance party Nuts to Butts will be at Visions Nightclub on Sunday starting at 10PM and then a final "Bear-B-Que" at Sidetrack on Monday afternoon.
