Flugtag....you know what Flugtag is, don't you?

Flugtag is brought to you by Red Bull, you know that stuff you mix your vodka with?  Last year they brought us The Art of The Can and this year they're bringing us Flugtag again.  The last time Flugtag was here was in 2003, so you need to make sure that you don't miss this opportunity.

What exactly is Flugtag?  In German, Flugtag means "Flying Day" and it all boils down to people pushing homemade flying crafts things off of a 30-foot-high deck hoping that they'll achieve "flight."  They may attempt to fly but most of these contraptions will do nothing more than splash into the water below.

Red Bull Flugtag challenges teams of everyday people to build homemade, human-powered flying machines and pilot them off the deck in hopes that they'll fly the furthest.

Teams are are judged not only on their flight's distance (which typically isn't far), but also on their creativity and showmanship as well.

Contestants have been building flying machines for months, you can go over to the website and check out some of the entrants.  There are some crazy flying machines!!!!!
